Andrew has worked in education for 30 years.

He has taught in primary schools in inner-city Nottingham and across Herefordshire, becoming the Headteacher of a small rural school, Pembridge Church of England Primary School in 2003. After 6 successful years as Headteacher at Pembridge, Andrew moved to become the Headteacher of a larger urban school, St Paul's Church of England Primary School, in Hereford.

Andrew became a SIAMs inspector in 2011 and has conducted church school inspections in the Hereford and Worcester Dioceses. .

Andrew has been a governor of a federation of a secondary and two primaries and an all through independent school in Hereford.

In 2014 St Paul's achieved an outstanding inspection from Ofsted and became a National Support School and Andrew became a National Leader of Education in 2015. He remained as Executive Headteacher until Easter 2019.

Andrew was the Executive Headteacher for St Thomas Cantilupe CE Primary School from 2012 until 2014, helping the school move from 'Special Measures' to a 'Good' overall judgement in 11 months.

In May 2018, Andrew was installed as a Lay Canon at Hereford Cathedral in recognition of his service to education in Hereford.

In 2019, St Paul's was awarded an overall judgement of 'excellent' under the new SIAMS inspection framework.

Andrew was the Director of Education for the Hereford Diocese from Sept 2018 until Easter 2024.

In January 2019 he became Chief Executive Officer for the Diocesan Trust, overseeing a transformation to its new identity, culture and ethos, as the Diocese of Hereford Multi-Academy Trust.

Claire has a wide range of teaching and leadership experience across several schools. Claire began her teaching career 30 years ago, has been a Headteacher for over 15 years across three schools (city and rural) and is an NLE. Claire has considerable expertise in school governance and working with community organisations.  Claire is a qualified leadership coach and enjoys collaborating with Headteachers and leadership teams to enable them to flourish.

Claire is Deputy CEO of the DHMAT and is Executive Headteacher of St Thomas Cantilupe CE Primary school, a diverse, welcoming, city centre school where enabling everyone’s light to shine is at the heart of her role.

Greg has worked in public sector finance for over 30 years, starting his career as an Auditor at Hereford City Council before progressing as a CIPFA qualified Accountant, working in a number of Accountancy and Senior Finance Manager roles within Herefordshire Council.

During this time Greg lead the financial support for a number of council services including Leisure, Environment, Economic Development, Adult Social Care, Corporate and Property services, as well as supporting major infrastructure projects and EU-funded programmes.

In 2011 Greg moved to Herefordshire Council’s trading company, Hoople Limited, gaining valuable commercial skills and experiences across a range of projects and customers.

In 2016 Greg decided to pursue a new direction and joined the Hereford Academy as Head of Finance and Resources. After 5 years at the Academy Greg was appointed to the role of CFO at DHMAT.

Greg brings extensive experience of change management, strategic financial planning and business partner support to the CFO role, combined with more recent hands-on experience in a school environment.

Jon started his career working in the field of politics as a researcher to an MP and then on completion of his Masters in International Development, he moved into policy communication across central Government for the Department For International Development.  He then worked as a Teacher and Assistant Head with an excellent track record of Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ teaching in classes across the primary range.

His role as Head of CPD within the Teaching School included delivering training to over 200 teaching staff across 30 schools.

Alongside this, Jon established Network events and ran regional conferences on key areas of education policy and practice.  Jon has also spoken at numerous National Capita Education conferences.

Jon has worked across numerous schools as a consultant and has wide experience in a variety of urban and rural settings with schools varying in size from 700 to 35 pupils.  Jon has been commissioned to work with pupils, teachers, TAs and Headteachers.

His work has ranged from working with leadership teams to embed a coaching model for staff, mentoring and coaching groups of children who have not made sufficient progress in their learning, as well as team teaching and adopting a coaching model to improve the quality of teaching and learning.

Jon has worked for DHMAT since 2020 and has been Quality of Education Director since 2022.

Sam joined the Trust after working as a School Business Manager at a Shropshire secondary school for 12 years. Previous to this, Sam worked in both central and local government as an external and internal auditor.

Sam has recently completed the CIPD qualification and is now an Associate member.  In addition, she sits on the NAHT, School Business Leaders national council, which works to support the SBL/SBM profession, both in LA and academy settings. An accredited Safer Recruitment trainer with the Lucy Faithful Foundation, she is able to deliver training across both the Trust and Diocese as a whole.

Ben has twenty-five years of experience in teaching and local authority management. 

He first taught in Birmingham, in an area of acute deprivation. The purposeful and supportive ethos of the school had a formative and enduring impact on Ben's career.  As mathematics co-ordinator, Ben worked as part of a city-wide challenge to raise standards for low-attaining children.

Ben returned to Herefordshire and taught at a large primary school which served his home-town.  A member of the school's SLT, Ben was Designated Safeguarding Lead with responsibility for attendance, welfare and PSHE.  Ben established a pupil council, which developed the school's behaviour charter. This positive approach to behaviour management was judged by Ofsted to be an outstanding feature of the school.

In 2004, Ben joined the West Midlands Consortium Education Service for Travelling Children. Deployed across Herefordshire and Worcestershire, he ensured access to education for Gypsy and Traveller children and young people aged 0-19. Ben participated in the development of DfE guidance on racist bullying. He was a contributing author and expert panellist for the National Strategies Gypsy, Roma and Traveller Achievement Programme.

Ben joined Herefordshire Council in 2009 and managed the following roles:

• Team Leader - Gypsy, Roma and Traveller and English as an Additional Language education services 
• Specialist Services Manager - Line management of the sensory impairment, autism, physical disability teaching teams
• Manager of Social Inclusion and Equalities - Member of Joint Case Review panel Herefordshire Safeguarding Board; Education representative for the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub
• Line management of: Social Inclusion; Elective Home Education; GRT; EAL and MASH education teams
• Administration and quality assurance of school safeguarding audits across Herefordshire Schools.

Ben joined the staff at St Thomas Cantilupe Primary School, from April 2020 - July 2021.

He has offered safeguarding consultancy to DHMAT since December 2020 and, from September 2022, is Safeguarding Director for the Trust.

Ben is an experienced trainer. He has delivered guest lectures for trainee and post-graduate teachers and social workers at The Universities of Salford, Birmingham, Wolverhampton and Worcester.

Georgia has worked in education since 2007, and before taking up this role was Finance Officer at a Voluntary Controlled Secondary School, providing ongoing support to the School Business Manager. She began studying for her Diploma with the Association of Accounting Technicians in 2011 and completed it in early 2013. She then went on to win the AAT national CPD Prize in 2014 and has recently completed the Diploma of School Business Management.

Georgia began working for the Education Team of the Diocese of Hereford in June 2014 and joined the Diocese of Hereford Multi-Academy Trust as Finance Officer full time from January 2015. Now Finance Lead for DHMAT, Georgia provides ongoing financial support to the academies after conversion and is responsible for payroll and Local Government Pension Scheme administration throughout the Trust. Georgia is now studying for her CIMA professional qualification.

Karen had a background working in various roles within the Shropshire Local Authority until taking up the position as Education Coordinator within the Diocesan Education Team. This role enabled Karen to enhance her skills to understand and along with the Education team support the Diocesan Church Schools. Karen has recently completed the ISBL School Business Professional Level 4 qualification.

Lisa joined DHMAT after working as a SEN Teaching Assistant in a Shropshire Primary School for 12 years. Lisa has recently completed the ISBL School Business Professional Level 4 qualification.

Hannah joined DHMAT in 2017 as a finance apprentice, and has since completed her Level 4 Professional Diploma with the Association of Accounting Technicians.

Lindsay has recently joined the Trust as Estates Manager after working for Herefordshire Council for 13 years.  In this time, she worked on strategic projects such as school organisation and place planning,  but also on capital projects such as coordinating a school maintenance programme and school expansion projects.  She has detailed knowledge of the DfE guidance on recommendations and space requirements expected for schools and early years buildings, and an understanding of the pressures that issues and constraints of the building can place on Headteachers.

Vicky originally worked for Laura Ashley in the accounts department in their head office in Mid Wales. After five years, she returned to study full time for her BA (QTS) in Education. Three years later she started her career working in a village school in South Herefordshire.

She then worked as a Teacher, Senior Teacher, Deputy Head and Head of School, teaching in different schools and classes across the primary age range. During this time, she worked as a maths lead, computing lead, assessment lead as well as being a KS1 moderator. She has worked alongside many schools as well as arranging training, and managing support for schools, as part of a Teaching School.

Over the past five years Vicky has led on School Direct, alongside Worcester University, and for ten years prior to this worked with Worcester and Gloucester Universities providing placements for teacher training. She has coached and worked with over 50 students, many of those are now working within Herefordshire schools.

Vicky started work for DHMAT in March 2023 as their Project Manager and is looking forward to supporting schools in the Trust in the future.

Frances joined DHMAT in 2023 after working in Primary School offices in Wirral and Cheshire for 12 years and then providing financial administrative support to a multi-academy trust in Cheshire for 3 years.
